If you are a dog owner or a dog lover who loves to socialize. North Hills has something to offer you.  Social hour for the neighborhood starts at the dog park and then moves across the street to one of the many restaurants that offers outdoor seating and water bowls with fresh water.  This is a dog loving community!

After the dog park don’t forget to grab a frosty beverage at World of Beer or an Italian feast at Piola where there is plenty of seating for your pup. Here are a few of Bailey’s favorite places to visit.

Dog Park

Located in the hustle and bustle of the Park District in North Hills this dog park offers 9500 square feet of open space for your dog to run free.  Let your pup off the leash to run wild with their fur friends while you meet the neighbors. There are swings for your kids to enjoy as well.  This is Bailey’s favorite part of living in this area.  Tennis balls are included!

World of Beers

Located across the street from Harris Teeter, World of Beer has a great view to see everyone walking their dogs.  The dogs like to stop and say hey along the way.

With more than 500 beers, and almost 50 on tap World of Beer has something for every taste bud.  They will serve you and your dog while you enjoy watching the games on the outside televisions.

Craving a bite to eat?  Stop in at the internationally famous Piola to enjoy some pizza, pasta, or classic Italian salads.  With locations in ten countries Piola offers the taste of authentic Italian food.  The Rossa pizza is a favorite of mine and Bailey enjoys the left overs when I share!

Midtown Beach Music Series

If you are looking for some live music and shag dancing on Thursday nights North Hills hosts a Beach Music Concert Series.  Bring your lawn chair and four-legged friend along and get a front row seat or grab a table at Fox and the Hound and enjoy some appetizers.  All ages are welcome to enjoy the beach music, also known as Carolina Beach Music.  Some of the bands are even North Carolinians.

Fox and The Hound

Fox and the Hound is a great seat in the house on Thursday nights but also a great place to watch the local college sports or the Carolina Panthers on Sunday’s in the fall.  They have a great selection of food.  I really enjoy sharing the Loaded Tater Tots or the Black Forest Sandwich.  If you just want a nibble or platter of nachos be sure to stop by Fox and the Hound.
