The festival is a hit with young and old alike! If you’re looking for that perfect piece of pottery, digital photo, painting or jewelry, then this is the place to go!

The 2018 Featured Artist is Roxanna Jo Alexander and her Up, Up and Away to Lazy Daze poster is simply spectacular! Roxanna who goes by Rocky was born and raised in the San Francisco area and moved to the Cary area back in the early 90’s. Rocky is a found member and past president of the Fine Arts League of Cary. She is also a signature member of the Watercolor Society of NC as well as a juried member of Artspace.

While at the festival you will find art work ranging from clay and sculpture to jewelry, wood working, drawing, glass work and digital art. Plus so much more!

You won’t go wrong with any piece of art you obtain but these are a few of my favorite artist:

Pottery: Lanny Pelletier of Cape Carteret, NC – Their NC Nature collection is a favorite of mine as well as their Bear Collection!

Pottery: Gretchen Quinn of Raleigh, NC – Her Handmade Pottery is stunning and I wish I could own every single piece she makes! Trust me when I say you’ll want at least one of everything from this amazing artist!

Jewlery: Holly Aubart of Asheville, NC – I’ve been a fan of Holly’s Etsy page now for a while and her pieces are simply stunning. As her Etsy page states she uses natural elements crafted with a purpose into a one-of-a-kind, unconventional wearables. Merging metals with organics. When I look at her pieces it’s almost as though it brings me to the spot she obtained the materials.

Jewlery: Cindy Snow of Youngsville, NC – Cindy’s Etsy page is another local artist that I follow and find her pieces to be unique and beautiful. They create their pieces with hand forged metal pieces and links, and other upcycled and vintage pieces.

Sculpture: Richard Backer of Lenior City, TN - If you’re looking for unique metal wall art than this is the place to stop while at the festival! They have collections ranging from kitchen and bath to coffee and wine, music and home theater as well as a man cave and exercise collection. Definitely check them out and buy that piece that you didn’t know you needed!

Photography: Brent McGuirt of Fairfied, VA – Brent’s photos are simply amazing! His photos capture you in a way that make you feel like you’re there in the picture. From his North Carolina Mountains gallery to the American Southwest and Coastal Splendor galleries you will be left speechless.
